In collaboration with Ruckercorp, this downtown residence was designed and built with a thoughtful approach to preserving the essence of its industrial heritage while introducing a sophisticated, contemporary aesthetic. The design focuses on honoring the building’s original materials—exposed brick, wooden rafters, steel structural elements, and visible ductwork—while integrating refined finishes that enhance the space's modern character.

Throughout the home, the raw industrial elements are complemented by luxurious materials such as solid walnut flooring, handmade custom tiles, and Douglas fir ceilings. These natural materials bring warmth and texture, creating a balanced contrast to the boldness of the original architectural features.

A standout feature of the project is the stunning custom steel staircase, crafted by the metal fabrication shop, Shelton Studios. The staircase serves as a striking centerpiece, seamlessly blending the raw industrial and refined design elements, while acting as a sculptural focal point that unites the entire space.

This project transforms the space into a distinct and contemporary urban residence, where industrial charm meets modern luxury, creating a dynamic yet harmonious living environment.
